Inpatient Admission
If your surgery is scheduled for the morning (8.00am-1.00am
), it is advisable to be admitted one day prior to the surgery,
before 4.00 pm. MSH does not guarantee availability of rooms if
patients admit on the same day as the scheduled morning surgery.
Things to bring:
i) Metro appointment card.
ii) Personal clothing (dress gown, slippers) and toiletries
iii) For Maternity Patient- 1set of baby’s clothing
Inpatient
Discharge
Upon your doctor’s confirmation for your discharge please
allow one to two hours for consolidating and processing of your
hospital bill. Discharge time is between 10.30am – 12.00noon
(lunch will not be provided). The following conditions apply:
- Discharge after 12noon & Discharge after 4pm
We would appreciate it if you vacate the room promptly after settlement
of the bill in consideration of other patient waiting for the availability
of the room. Should you need to leave before finalized bill is ready,
you will be required to settle an estimated amount or sign an open
credit card voucher with us. Any excess payment will be refunded
to you within 21 days and for outstanding balances, we would appreciate
prompt settlement. For credit card holders, you will be informed
of the final amount charged to your card. A copy of the final bill
will be mailed to you.
Deposit
Required
The deposit amount varies with the type of treatment and
can be made in cash, bank draft or credit card. MSH accepts guarantees
letter from companies that have credit facilities with the hospital.
The guarantee letter must be presented at the time of admission;
otherwise the patient will have to pay a deposit which is refundable
to the patient upon discharge, if accompanied with a valid guarantee
letter.Please note that if the guarantee letter is not presented
within 24 hours of admission, the patient will be required to settle
the bill by cash or credit card. Additional
deposit will be required when the expenses incurred during your
hospital stay exceed the initial deposit paid or the limit specified
in the guarantee letter.
Personal
Valuable
Please do not bring or keep valuable with you during your stay in
MSH. In the event that you do have valuables, we recommend that
you store them in the hospital safe deposit box. If you require
this complimentary service, please inform the admission staff at
the time of admission. MSH
however will not be responsible for any loss or damage to your property
or personal belonging s whilst on our premises and in locked drawer.
Electronic
and computerized equipment
For security purposes, please do not bring any electronic, electrical
or battery powered equipment, computerized gadgets such as hand
phone, walkie-talkies, pages, handheld organizers, laptop, palmtops,
computerized notebooks, CD Players and DVD Players.
Rooms
All rooms are fully air-conditioned with attached bathroom. Suite
Single and Two –Bed rooms are furnished with color television
sets ad telephones. The hospital does not accept pre booking of
rooms and room types are subject to availability. Room charges will
be based on the actual room accorded to you. For all maternity patients,
please note that the room rate is charged from the time admission.
Stay
–in Companion is allowed only if you are occupying a suite
or single room. Lodger fee is RM15.00 per night (12.00pm-8.00am)
whether they took the deck chair or not.
Non
Smoking Policy
Metro Specialist Hospital’s staff, visitors, patients mainly
whoever inside the premise is strictly prohibited from smoking.
Visiting
Hours
The hospital observes the following visiting hours:
- 12.00noon – 2.00pm daily & 6.00pm-10pm daily
We
do not encourage visitors to bring children along. However, if this
is unavoidable, we seek your cooperation to ensure that they do
not disturb others patients by running around or making any undue
noise in the patient’s room or ward area
Hot
Spot
You
can surf internet anytime with your own notebook at lobby of Metro
and cafeteria area. Hot spot prepaid card is available at our counter
of Metro Café.

½ days clinics operations
Effective
02.01.2007, our new operational hours will be from 8.00 am-5.35
pm from Sunday to Thursday and 8.00am-1pm on Friday. Clinics closed
on Saturday and public holiday. Any emergencies cases occurred,
please direct to Accident & Emergency counter at 04-4238888
ext 1887/1889.
Meals
Complimentary meals will be served to all patients unless advised
otherwise by the attending doctor.Meal
times are as follows:
Breakfast: 8.00am – 9.00am daily.
Lunch: 12.00noon – 1.00pm daily
Dinner: 6.00pm-7.00pm daily
Cafeteria
The Metro Cafeteria is located at the Ground Floor and is open from
7.30am-8.30pm daily. Only on the forth week (Thursday) of the month
is open from 7.30am-5.00pm.
Refund
Amounts
received in excess of the total bill will be refunded within 21
days of discharge. The refund will be either in cash, cheque or
credit card depending on the initial mode of payment. Should you
